Mee Chiet running Khmer for Khmer campaign to the provinces bordering Cambodia-Thailand
In the commitment support for the frontline, Mee Chiet Company has continued its willingness to share under the “Khmer for Khmer” project in the campaign to bring support and medicine to the health centers and Covid -19 treatment centers in Banteay Meanchey and Battambang provinces. Facing the spread of Covid 19, the new Delta mutation virus, on 16th-17th August, 2021.
Mr. Chunhieng Thavaseth, Deputy Manager of Business operation of Mee Chiet, said that the donations today were under the “Khmer for Khmer” project, an initiative in response to the February 20th community event. Activities in Battambang and Banteay Meanchey provinces are another steps in the company’s effort to alleviate the plight of the White Army and its workers in the border provinces, which are experiencing the wide spread of the 19 new Delta virus. He said that, of course, the implementation of this project requires the team to visit each center to meet directly with the frontline team that is actively fighting against this deadly disease with high responsibility.
Dr. Le Chansangvath, Director of the Health Department in Banteay Meanchey Province, said that the social activities of the Mee Chiet Company are a good role model in which the private sector company contributes to alleviating the hardships of the Government in providing support and resources to the operation of Frontline doctors. He added that these donations will be distributed to patients who are workers, as well as front-line doctors at medical centers in Banteay Meanchey.
Coming to Battambang Province, Medical Dr. Voeung Bunreth, Director of the Health Department in Battambang Province, on behalf of the civil servants of the Provincial Health Department is highly appreciated the activities of the company that immediately responded and supported the frontline team that very actively in treating many patients throughout the province. He added that this is the priceless support of Cambodian people during the fight of covid-19. Battambang as well as border provinces are confronting the covid-19 both in community and export from outside the country.
Mr. Chunhieng Thavaseth continued, On behalf of the private sector company, we would like to encourage companies and enterprises to contribute to society more or less as you can in which is very good response to the nation in very this difficult circumstances to take over this evilness disease together.
In the stage of donation, Mee Chiet brought brunch of food including Mee Chiet noodles, Vital premium water, and many boxes of medicines to the two provincial health centers and other four treatment centers including Kangva Treatment Center, Hun Sen Khla Kon Treatment Center in Banteay Meanchey Province, Monivong High School Treatment Center and Samdech Ov High School Treatment Center in Battambang Province.
