Mee Chiet Sharing Safety kits and Food Supplies to Students in Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh: Mee Chiet organized an event to donate safety kits and food supplies to about 194 needy students who are staying in the dormitory center of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, in the evening of May 4.
In the name of “Khmer for Khmer”, Mee Chiet always continues its mission to support each other in every circumstances. This donation aims to distribute the safety kits and the most essential food items for daily consumption to help alleviate the difficulty of Cambodian students in the context of the Covid-19.
Mr. Chea Mengkoung, Representative of Marketing Department in Vital Premium Water, said, “In the situation of Covid-19, we know that students find it very difficult to go out and buy food suppliers, as everyone is worried and struggling with their health safety”
He continued, “As a local company that has been paying attention to charitable activities and actively supporting community works, Mee Chiet organized this event with a good social distance, hoping the donation will be a part of the safety and convenience. We would like to encourage all students to continue practicing 3 preventive measures of Covid-19 to protect themselves, their friends, families and community”.
The donations include rice, Vital Premium Water, Mee Chiet, face masks and alcohol spray.
Mee Chiet is a local company that has been supported by Cambodian people for its charity and social work since established.
